If my child attends a school in the ILL boundary can he/she play at ILL?
Yes your child will be playing on a school waiver (school is within ILL boundaries). You must bring this School Enrollment form signed by the school administration proving enrollment prior to October 1st. Only complete paperwork will be accepted during the registration dates.

If my child does not live or attend a school in the ILL boundary can he/she play at ILL?
For the Spring Little League season, your child will be considered after submitting a notarized waiver signed by your home league president and a reason letter.  The request will be reviewed by both the ILL President and District 22 Administrator. Approval is not guaranteed and may be denied by home league, ILL or district administrator. Players will not be eligible for post season teams.  For Fall Ball, your child can play without approved waivers.

Can I make friend requests or ask for a specific Manager or Coach?

Imperial Little League will try to accommodate friend or manager requests during the spring season, but it does not guarantee any requests.

What do I do if I am interested in coaching or managing a team this coming season?
The registration process provides the opportunity to express your volunteer interest.  Prior to the start of the season there will also be a Call For Managers email sent out to the membership requesting you send an email to [email protected] with a completed manager questionnaire application and volunteer application that can be found on the league website under the FORMS tab. In order to be considered both forms must be completed and returned prior to the 1/17/2019 deadline.

My schedule does not allow me the manage a team though I would like to help coach or serve as a team parent. What do I need to do?

Fill out the 2020 Volunteer Application also found under the FORMS & DOCUMENTS tab and submit by email to  [email protected].  All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application for the safety of the kids playing at ILL.  An application must be done on a yearly basis. Submit your application by email to the ILL or bring to one of the registration verification days. In February the manager of your child's team will contact you.  Speak to the manager about your interest in coaching, team parent, or helping in another capacity.

For the divisions utilizing the draft process (all Minor, Little League, Intermediate, Junior, and Senior Divisions) what is expected at player assessments?
Players will be evaluated on their hitting, throwing/catching, fielding, and running. Players who registered on time will be placed on a team pending sufficient registrants and managers to create the team.

When are practices held?
Practice days and times are tbd by the manager and field/batting cage availability.  We do not assign team practice times or finalize our game schedules until after teams are formed.

When are games held?
In the spring season T-ball through Majors divisions have games during the weekday and possibly some weekends. Junior Divisions will participate in inter-league and information will be posted as it becomes available.

How long is the Spring Season?
Practices begin February. Regular season games begin on end of February and run until the end of May. Those divisions that participate in post-season play-offs will have the opportunity to play through mid-June depending on how far the team advances.

What is Fall Ball?
Fall Ball is intended to be an instructional season for player’s league age 4-13.  This a great opportunity to work on baseball skills and/or try out a higher division to help prepare for the next level in the Spring. ILL currently does not have a Fall Ball Season but other local leagues offer this opportunity for our players.

Imperial Little League has local rules in addition to following the Little League Official Regulations, Playing Rules, and Policies. ("The Green Book")

Why is Pitch Count important and how is it calculated?
The answer is simple – to protect young arms. Player safety is paramount, and we’re proud of the regulations we’ve put in place. The healthier Little Leaguers® are, the more games they’ll play, which results in them having more fun with their friends. Pitch count rules differ for several divisions. Please visit Regular Season Pitching Rules for more information, and be sure to alert your team’s manager if your child pitches in youth baseball programs other that Little League. (cited from littleleague.org)
